I'm going to try an alkyd primer to see how I like it compared to acrylic primers.
Thanks Antti!Erik van Elvenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08258121761930018033noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23496120.post-40411444121379863642011-02-14T08:29:32.274-08:002011-02-14T08:29:32.274-08:00Thank you for your warm comments everyone.

...Thank you for your warm comments everyone.

Erik:
I use acrylic primed linen, with very smooth surface.
There is this "tooth" that i like in the acryllic canvas.
Oil primed are also nice but a bit more slippery, althoug they give change to scrub off almost to the pure white if necessary because it wont stain like acrylic.
Oil primed surfaces are also hard to come by here in Finland. I used to make them myself. Its a great learning experience to test those out too.
Lead based products are forbidden here so I don't know about those. I hear those are the best and of course toxic, but I don't see any reason why would somebody want to lick them :)Antti Rautiolahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15991151733551774928noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23496120.post-59408356544939247742011-02-14T01:09:42.326-08:002011-02-14T01:09:42.326-08:00I can keep staring at this painting and the beauti...I can keep staring at this painting and the beautiful brushstrokes. The composition also is very good, a kind of spiral entering in the Silver Horse, excellent brush struck too.jesusest@gmail.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12531007408774651478noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23496120.post-33444344486213277032011-02-13T10:34:37.737-08:002011-02-13T10:34:37.737-08:00I am always so moved by your work.
