Shore of the lake Keitele
Another rainy day is melting the final ice coat of this lake. We saw a few swans in the morning aswell. Too bad they didnt stick around to pose for me :)
Kids were also as encouraging as ever. "Daddy, what colors do you have..add some pink in there". Well i did. And some of the rocks actually are that way.

very good Antti, you got the water really good. cheers
Antii, you rock!! Absolutely stunning light effect you've caught. Love the colour palette too.
A restricted palette, fresh, yet very rich and buttery brushwork.
Yes sir.
Thank you very much guys. I am glad that i took the challenge. Time constraints (you know kids swarming around) make one really focus on the essentials. I probably ignored a few stones and sticks.
Btw, tthis quite small painting, maybe about size A4. I am looking foward to paint something bigger in plein air, like 70x120cm some day soon, God willing that i have the time for it. :)
Could you lend me your artistic consultants the next time I venture out. I think my painting needs someone to suggest the introduction of a little colour at the appropriate moment. Another fine image.
I LOVE this! Your work never disappoints! The way you marry realism and abstraction in your landscape paintings is marvelous!

Sure thing, anytime :D

Thank you. That is exactly the reason i find Alex Kanevsky´s paintings so appealing. Maybe you know his work allready, but google it out if you dont. :)
