Tugboats

"Tugboats"
38 x 60, Oil on linen canvas
2011

I walk past these boats almost every day and there is something really apealing in their rugged looks, I guess they are silently being very proud.
Just to mention that I had also the pleasure of meeting the crew last summer when i was doing plein air painting about the "Protector".

Thank you, i am glad to hear it.
These boats required very delicate color and value changes, because most of it is so white and in the highend spectrum of the value scale.

Antti good job, I love color. I do not know how you can hold so much snow and cold, but I like it.

Hi Antti
What a powerful feel from such a "soft" palette!
Would love to see this painting at it's real size.
Your work is inspiring to study.
